An anal fistula is a small infected tunnel that develops between the end of the bowel and the skin near the anus. Most fistulas form due to chronic infection of an anal gland and rarely heal on their own — laser fistula surgery offers a painless, daycare cure with quick recovery.
Constant throbbing pain near the anus, especially when sitting · Pus or blood discharge near the anus · Skin irritation around the anal opening · Recurrent boils or abscesses · Fever in active infection
Diagnosis begins with a clinical examination and digital rectal exam. An MRI fistulogram or endoanal ultrasound may be needed to map complex tracts. Most cases are confirmed in a single OPD visit.
Laser Fistula Closure (FiLaC) — laser energy seals the tract from inside, sphincter-sparing. VAAFT (Video-Assisted) is used for complex multi-tract fistulas. Both are 30–60 min daycare procedures with same-day discharge.
Tract is closed with laser energy. Minimal pain, quick discharge.
Camera-guided procedure for complex fistulas.
