Frenuloplasty is a small surgical procedure to correct a short or tight frenulum (the thin band of tissue connecting the foreskin to the head of the penis). It relieves pain during erection and intercourse.
Pain or pulling sensation during erection or intercourse · Tearing of frenulum during sex · Difficulty retracting foreskin fully · Bleeding from frenulum
Clinical examination by a urologist confirms the diagnosis.
Frenuloplasty under local anesthesia in 15–20 minutes. The tight frenulum is released and re-stitched in a Z-plasty pattern. Daycare procedure, recovery in 5–7 days.
